Welcome to vPyro

vPyro is a fast growing community based on virtual pyrotechnics and fireworks. Since 2004 our members have been creating spectacular firework shows with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (RCT3) and have time and time again shocked the RCT3 world by designing dazzling shows pushing the boundaries of imagination. Learn how to create spectacular firework shows with music, lights, lasers, water and fire, download thousands of fireworks at your disposal, request specific fireworks to be made for you, join a Company and make shows with your friends and much much more. We also specialise in all other areas of virtual pyrotechnics, such as ShowSim 3D and all the other solutions. This is your one stop pyrotechnics and fireworks site.

We welcome new competitions and ideas. We've never had to keep a structure for the process in the past because the interest wasn't very high, but it seems more and more people are interested in starting their own competitions. We are more than happy to provide you with the means to launch your competition, including your own forum. We simply ask you respect the global forum rules and this process. It's simple and ensures everything is neat and tidy (it's how we like the place). Please also note that all community created competitions are unofficial, unless a member of staff approaches you about making it vPyro endorsed. :)

Also, your competition may not contain the word "vPyro" or "official" as it creates confusion.

1. Advice.

- Ensure you have a plan in your head, write down notes, make sure you're clear as to what your goal is.
- Ensure your idea hasn't been done before - variety is key.
- Don't over complicate it with elaborate judging systems and rulesets. It's about fun; not bureaucracy.
- Make it interesting.
- It's not all about prizes; make it fun!

2. How to create one.

If you'd like to start your own competition, the process is very simple.

Simply send us all your material in PM. Information, rules, how to enter, prizes.

We will then converse with you via PM on how to improve it, and then we can go ahead and make it official. There are no approval processes. It's your competition and if you're happy with it, that's okay.

Please PM one of us (not all). It can be any member of staff on the Admin or Mod team.

3. Launching the competition.

We will setup your own forum and you will have limited mod permissions so you can pin/close/whatever topics.

Then you can spread the word about it and get everyone involved. :)

Disclaimer: It's your competition, your rules, your success/failure. We will provide you with the tools, but it's up to you to make it a success.
Regards,

Brad

One thing I hate more than anything is people asking questions that are already answered.
Please, read the forums and pinned topics before asking obvious questions.
Thank you.

I would like to re-iterate a point in this topic:

PM ONE OF US, not all. We find it incredibly annoying when several of us receive the same PM.

Thanks.
