Just a quick question I wanted to know about, because the only reason I see to join the premium member group is to display my name in a green color on the shoutbox, or changing my username.
Isn't this rare kind of members dieing?

The biggest benefit of being premium now is the ability to bypass admission. The other features essentially just sweeten the deal.

Well yes, the reason it's done in the first place is to support the site financially, but from a users perspective the biggest benefit is that you don't have to put any effort in.
