I've heard and read rumors (sorry i dont have any links)
that the new windows will run faster than Vista and outperform in nearly every aspect
and that the minimum RAM specs for it are only 128MB!!!! now i think that this is awesome so i cant wait to see
windows 7.

Feel free to express opinions or find links to prove me right!! or wrong. Im lazy.

Peace out dudes

Never.

QUOTE
Over at Neowin.net, there's a post about Windows 7 which indicates that Microsoft's next operating system might be less hardware consuming than Vista. According to Neowin administrator Steven Parker (aka Neobond) the build used for testing was 6.1.6519 and apparently it consumed only 480MB or RAM after boot

The correct order of decreasing performance would be Server 2000>NT>2000=ME>XP>Vista.

Only the server product guts all the background process bloat and frees up enough resources to actually run your programs with the speed they should have. Too bad it's difficult to get factory installed with a new PC and application/driver support is very lacking since nobody uses it for a desktop OS.

Microsofts biggest problem has always been trying do too much automated crap in the background, second guessing what users want to do with unecessary bells and whistles that sap your machine of its true potential. Each new OS has more unecessary junk than the previous, with Vista being the abolute worst. As PCs get faster, MS just keeps adding more background process junk so that you never even get to notice the hardware speed increases.

Of course, Wikipedia is never completely trustworthy source (do to the nature of the site) but here is a wiki page on W7; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7 .

Quite a bit written about it already!
