This is big new in America, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has proven that cloned animals such as cows and sheep to be safe to eat. I'm just wondering how many people here would be willing too eat cloned meat?

As long as it tastes the same, and no harm comes to the animal - I couldn't care less smile.gif

That was what I was figuring, as long as it doesn't kill me and tastes the same I would eat it. That would go the same for Milk and Eggs and other dairy products...

Just out of interest, why would clones not be safe to eat?

I would think some people are thinking they use dangerous chemical or something. Or they might think it's radioactive and they will get radiation poising, we all have seen movies with clones that go bad and some might think that's what cloning is all about.

This is still a big ethical issue. Personally I don't have an issue with it, but it does set a precedent and major controls must be put in place. It would be easy to forget that these animals, even though cloned, are just as alive and feel just as much as their orginal selves. So as long as they continue to regulate the way the animals are treated they should be ok. How long until we start cloning soldiers so our "natural born" dont have to die.
