Hey guys,

Sydney went off with a bang last night, and I've got the HD video to prove it!

Family Fireworks 44.8MB - Sydney have 2 firework displays on NYE. This one is the "family fireworks", shown at 9PM (the time the first nation enters 2008). This ones for the kids
Midnight Fireworks
Enjoy and Happy New year

Downloading now, I wish we had something like this in my area... New Year's day is kinda boring in my area. And New York City does more of the Confetti then anything else. But there's always Independence Day (4th of July) That we get too use are fireworks....

Downloading now, glad RCTPyro has a super quick server lol tongue.gif

Well.. the kiddies show was good, I didn't realise that it was actually done till music until about half way through lol, then my speakers decided they would work. Where did you get the great angle shots from? They are really good

Watching the main one now..

I find the main one a tad lame this year, except for the finale which is pretty impressive (love the sparks showers at the bridge!) the choreography for most of the show is very standard and the music quite average, too much rely on peonies and very little else.

I think that, although smaller in size and lenght, the London show is more stylish....only if it was choreograph to music....

Just watched it, very good as usual but I agree with claudio that it wasn't the best so far. The finale was awesome even though we didn't get a closeup biggrin.gif

I actually ripped it from a local TV show.. I believe they used up to 20 cameras - 2 from helicopters. I just posted a low version for you dialupers. wink.gif

I burnt the midnight one to a DVD and put it up on my big TV downstairs and I'm amazed! As claudio said theres alot of peonies that basically do most of the work. I liked the african/bongo bit with the fans on the bridge.

well dats australian spirit for ya! we like to party hard down here and apparently we have been recognized as awesome firework makers wen it comes to shows. hey did anyone notice that this show is spread all over the city?
Theres the main ones along the river and then you have smaller fireworks going off at individual locations to give people some entertainment.

peace

That's how we do it in Australia. At least 90% of the Population stays just for the midnight show. just for those of you that didn't know, the theme was the time of our lives. thats why there was hourglasses and junk.
