I've had photoshop for almost a year and I need some serious help
I need to be able to make logos and sigs smile.gif
If anyone could help it would be great

Just play.

Random tutorials are good too, but getting good probably won't happen over night. You just have to play a lot and probably even repeat the stuff you did several times so you remember what is what later on.

Well if you want to do anything even remotely advanced you would use Adobe Photoshop. PhotoImpact is Uleads basic tool for doing common tasks, but does not allow for advanced wok.

My best suggestion is look for some tutorial sites and browse through their tutorials ( they usually have an image showing an example of what the tutorial shows you how to do ) and find ones you think are cool and then try them. Experimentation and tutorials are the best way to learn, you could purchase a book but I find those tend to become hard to follow at times.

I use Photoshop to make a living, a long with several other pieces of software) but I very often will have an idea for an effect I want to do and will look for tutorials on the web to get ideas of how to achieve it, which often lead to me messing around with the concepts and coming up with something even better.
