Hey, I was just wondering if you like football and if you do, who is your favorite team.

My favorite NFL team is the Tennesee Titans mainly because of Vince Young biggrin.gif .

You must be talking about what we call soccer because I know for a fact that football wasn't created in England.

QUOTE
American football has its origins in varieties of football played in the United Kingdom in the mid-19th century. American football is directly descended from rugby football. The majority of the plays in a typical American football game involve handling the ball rather than kicking it.

Rugby was also created in England. wink.gif

All along I thought the Native Americans created American football.
I guess I was wrong.

Because the word football generally refers to "association football" (or what you guys call "soccer"). American football is more like Rugby. Hey wait a sec, isn't "american football" a game where you don't actually kick the ball at all?! How illogical can you get, the clues in the name! That's like me calling a game Handball then play a game where you can't use your hands.

Bah! wacko.gif

Actualy, you do kick the ball occasionally like when you punt the ball or when you kick a field goal or an extra point.

Yes, but as I said, my point still stands. How can you call a game football, where the ball is primarily thrown and used with the hands? That's like playing cricket but only "occasionally" using the bat laugh.gif
