Ok, I got a prob (or atleast my bro has)

PC Spec:
  • AMD 64 x2 Dual Core 3800+
  • 1x 1GB RAM (DDR 400)
  • Gigabyte Motherboad
  • Nvidia Geforce 6600 256MB (With GPU)
Problem:
All games register negitave frames per second. He has reinstalled drivers, no change. We changed the cards over (I'm on a system exactly the same), no change.

The systems are the same, same drivers. Mine is fine but his isn't.

Operating System: Windows XP with SP2.

The only thing I can think of is drivers mucked up or (since XP crashed alot after install) Windows is mucked up but we have repaired it a couple of times and still no change.

Help!! help.gif (Save Our Sanity laugh.gif )

Please biggrin.gif

Do you get any window errors, such as a hardware fatal failure, restart or the dreaded blue screen of death? tongue.gif

If so, you may want to consider getting your internal devices looked at - they may be getting too hot or something.

I would sugggest rolling back the drivers and then updating the motherboard driver after you roll back

He got the BSOD as the nvidia drivers crashed but he reinstalled the drivers and he hasn't had it since.

I would recommend formatting and starting again (obviously backing up your data)

Get all the latest drivers from the internet smile.gif

Hopefully you should be fine, because it is most likely to be a driver error.

Hope this helps.
